MR Lymphangiography (MRL)

This course is designed to bridge critical gaps in radiology professionals' expertise by delivering in-depth training on advanced imaging techniques and their clinical applications. Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge of MRL, including its technical execution, lymphatic system evaluation, and the anatomy and pathology of lymphatic-related conditions like lymphedema, chylothorax, and plastic bronchitis. The course emphasizes optimizing pulse sequences, mastering contrast agent administration, and addressing common imaging challenges such as venous contamination.

By completing this course, learners will enhance their competence in utilizing MRL for precise diagnosis, improve imaging performance, and drive better patient outcomes through early detection and accurate interpretation of lymphatic system conditions.

Learning Objectives

  1. Explain the MR lymphangiography (MRL) technique.
  2. Evaluate the lymphatic system.
  3. Review the anatomy and pathology of the lymphatic system.
  4. Discuss the pulse sequences available for MRL.
  5. Recognize pathologies such a lymphedema, chylothorax, and plastic bronchitis.
