Brain MRI Perfusion (DSC/DCE/ASL)

This lecture will discuss the latest advancements in MRI perfusion techniques and cutting-edge methodologies, including dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE), dynamic susceptibility contrast (DSC), and arterial spin labeling (ASL) perfusion imaging.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe brain MRI perfusion techniques and current options available.
  2. Explore conventional methods such as dynamic susceptibility imaging as well as newer methods using the Toft model for quantitative analysis.
  3. Discuss new advances in non-contrast perfusion techniques such as arterial spin labeling.
